“There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.” (Francis Bacon)

The signs point to future. At least if you take a closer look to the models.

Since the Supermodel Era of the Nineties the classic beauty has constantly receded into the background. Starting with a handful unconventional looking models the trend towards let's say uncommon beauty is growing year on year.

Significant facial structures, tooth gaps, eyes closely flanking or set wide apart. Lindsey Wixson, Daphne Groeneveld would have probably not really fit in the picture of a supermodel one or two decades ago. The Kate-Moss-like perfectly proportional face seems to go out of fashion slowly but surely.

Or maybe, just maybe, the often discussed theory seems to become reality and "the others" are slowly occupying our world as we know it.
